Cozy and well designed interior. Service was pleasant too. All raw dishes are fresh and great quality. A good variety of items on the menu that would satisfy most people. A good dinning experience and I’d definitely come back.
Finally a delicious Japanese in Aspen!!! Sashimi tasted fresh. The rolls have Gluten free versions so our family can finally eat in the same restaurant as us which is huge. The entire restaurant is peanut free environment is also rare! The Grilled skewers esp. scallops and tempura are my favourites.
Lots of variety and unique dishes to suite your craving for Japanese food. Good presentation of rolls and decent taste. Will be going back to try other menu items (ramen, udon, katsu, etc). Friendly staff & lovely interior. Good hidden gem in west Calgary. Food was ready upon pick up. I look forward to dining in next time.
Another need to go place At SW Calgary around Aspen area. The food is tasty and fresh, brand new opened Japanese restaurant coming with grill and sushi. Also, happy hours from 2pm to 4pm everyday. Jump in for a drink and bites. High recommend for people close by.
Dined in and had a great experience. Highly recommend spicy crunchy salmon rolls and Hot Egypsy rolls. Lobster roll nice presentation but mustard/mayo sauce it came with not for me. Very kind server.
Great sushi restaurant! We also happened to be there for Tuesday and tried the half priced wings, which were also delicious!
Absolutely incredible sushi! I stopped in from Kannaskis, driving back home to Edmonton. I wanted to get some sushi that was easy to get to on Stony trail. This place came up with a high rating and it absolutely did not disappoint! The freshest sashimi I've ever had full of flavor and tasty fish! It was also happy hour so we got great deals on a California roll, gyoza dumplings and fried wings. I ordered a delicious chirashi don bowl and my husband got the lobster roll. Everything was so fresh and delicious portions! We also ordered salmon avocado roll, and two pieces of sea urchin nigiri. Two pieces of prawn tempura, beautifully hand dipped and fried. Warm steaming green tea was perfect to pair with everything.
It was our first time at Shoku and we were very impressed, the server was so friendly and the food was amazing. Very good quality to price ratio, we will be back!
